How Appnet Bridge collects, uses, retains, and protects personal data related to forensic auditing enquiries and website use in Hong Kong.

Data we collect

  • Enquiry data — name, email, optional engagement interest, and message content you submit
  • Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the site
  • Cookie data — as described in our cookie notice, subject to your consent choices for non-essential cookies

We do not ask for identity card numbers, bank passwords, or full ledger dumps through the public contact form. Sensitive case materials should wait until an engagement letter and secure transfer method are in place.

Purposes and bases

We process enquiry data to respond to your request and, where relevant, to prepare an engagement proposal (legitimate interests in operating our practice, and steps prior to contract). We process technical logs for security and reliability. Analytics cookies, if accepted, help us understand aggregate visit patterns.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to 24 months if no engagement follows, unless a longer period is required for legal claims. Engagement files follow retention periods in the engagement letter and applicable professional obligations. Server logs are typically rotated within 90 days.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with IT hosting providers acting as processors under confidentiality terms, with professional advisers bound by duty, or when required by Hong Kong law or competent authority.

International transfers

If processors store data outside Hong Kong, we take steps appropriate to the transfer, including contractual safeguards where required.

Your rights

Subject to Hong Kong personal data privacy law, you may request access to personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccuracies, and information about our policies. Children

This site is directed at professional adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
