Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to professional engagements with Appnet Bridge for forensic transaction review, ledger integrity assessment, and dispute support documentation. It does not apply to goods retail, software subscriptions, or services we do not offer.

Eligibility overview

Refunds depend on how far the engagement has progressed and whether work product has been delivered. Website enquiries alone create no charge and need no refund.

Mobilisation deposit

A mobilisation deposit is due on signed engagement. If you cancel before we begin document intake or fieldwork, we refund the deposit minus an administrative charge of HK$5,000 (or the full deposit if lower) to cover conflict checks and scheduling.

Cancellation after work has started

Once document intake, planning, or fieldwork has begun:

• Unused future phases under a capped multi-phase fee may be cancelled; unused phase fees are refundable.
• Fees for work already performed (hours or completed milestones) are non-refundable.
• Partial findings or draft letters already issued remain billable.

Full refunds

A full refund of amounts paid (including deposit) is available if we cancel the engagement for our own reasons before delivering a final findings letter or agreed memorandum, except where cancellation follows client breach (non-payment, refusal to provide agreed access, or unlawful instructions).

Non-refundable items

• Completed fieldwork days and partner briefing time already delivered
• Third-party costs reasonably incurred with your prior approval (for example courier of original documents or room hire)
• Administrative charge on early deposit refunds as stated above

Rescheduling

On-site visits and briefings may be rescheduled once without charge if you give at least five business days’ notice. Shorter notice may incur a rescheduling fee reflecting irreversibly booked reviewer time.

No-shows

If client attendees miss a confirmed briefing without notice, the briefing fee (or allocated hours) remains payable. We will offer one replacement slot within thirty days.

Refund process and timing

Email refund requests to info@appnet-bridge.digital with the engagement reference. We confirm eligibility within ten business days and process approved refunds within twenty business days to the original payment method unless another method is agreed in writing.

Disputes

Fee disputes should be raised promptly with the engagement partner. Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under Hong Kong law that cannot be waived.
